Зазначено, що фахова компетентність майбутнього офіцера НГУ визначається метою і змістом практичної підготовки в процесі освоєння загальновійськових і військово-спеціальних дисциплін. Визначено основні суперечності та недоліки підготовки майбутніх офіцерів НГУ. Розглянуто сутність та структуру методичної компетентності офіцерів до службово-бойової діяльності. Визначено, що методична компетентність – це інтегральна здатність, що включає загальновійськові, військово-спеціальні та педагогічні компоненти, що у взаємодії забезпечують успіх військово-освітньої діяльності у військових підрозділах НГУ. Сформульовано основні напрями вдосконалення навчально-виховного процесу щодо цілеспрямованого формування методичної компетентності майбутніх офіцерів НГУ. The article analyzes the problems of forming the methodological competence of future officers of the National Guard of Ukraine during training. The professional competence of a future NGU officer is determined by the purpose and content of practical training in the process of cadets mastering general military and military special disciplines at the academy. The main contradictions and shortcomings of the training of future officers during their studies at the academy have been identified. The essence and structure of methodical competence of officers, which is part of the professional competence of an officer as a teacher, is considered. It was determined that methodical competence is an integral ability of an officer, which includes all-military, militaryspecial and pedagogical components, which in interaction ensure the success of militaryeducational activities in military units of NGU. Researchers consider the structure of a teacher's methodical competence as follows: as a system of components, interdependent levels, integrity of elements. They attribute the following components to the structure of methodical competence: cognitive, procedural-active, personal. It is noted that the training process at the academy should provide servicemen with the opportunity to acquire a certain amount of knowledge, form practical skills and abilities in optimal conditions. And then the leader of classes on combat, special and professional psychological training in parts of the National Guard of Ukraine will be a highly trained and experienced officer and teacher. Today, the conceptual apparatus is insufficiently developed, the specifics of methodological competence of officers are insufficiently studied, optimal technologies, methods, forms, means of forming methodological competence, evaluation criteria, methods of diagnosing its level are not fully developed. The article reveals the role of environmental education in the professional training of specialists-future navigators. It was established that the problem of environmental protection is one of the most acute problems of our time. Formation of ecological culture, ecological beliefs, ecological style of thinking of modern students, mastering the basics of rational nature management is one of the priority tasks of modern maritime higher education. It was underlined that environmental education is a very important component of the educational process. It is a system in which ecological thinking, ecological culture, ecological responsibility, ecological consciousness, humanistic ideas, principles, universal human values, scientific knowledge, and skills interact. These qualities are necessary for future navigators, as they are needed to solve professional tasks related to ecological safety during the operation of sea and river transport. In addition, the solution of professional tasks requires the implementation of a certain algorithm of actions in the event of accidents and incidents on water with dangerous environmental consequences. The theoretical approaches of scholars to the concepts of "ecological education", "ecological responsibility", "ecological competence", "ecological culture" are generalized. The conclusion was made concerning the importance of the formation of the integrated content of professional disciplines, taking into account the ecological component in the training of maritime specialists. The need to upgrade the system of higher maritime education in order to form an ecological component in professional training. Проведений аналіз екологічного змісту основних нормативних документів, що регулюють професійну діяльність судноводіїв. Визначені вимоги до майбутнього судноводія щодо екологічної обізнаності в професійній діяльності. Проведено порівняльний аналіз дисциплін, що забезпечують розвиток екологічної свідомості за ОПП «Навігація та управління морськими суднами» першого (бакалаврського) рівня вищої освіти різних ЗВО України. The article examines the peculiarities of future ship navigators’ training regarding the formation of environmental consciousness in marine higher education institutions. The standard of higher education of Ukraine at the first (bachelor) level in the field of knowledge 27 "Transport", specialty 271 "River and sea transport" has been analyzed with the aim of focusing on the formation of environmental awareness. The analysis of the environmental content of the main normative documents regulating the professional activity of ship navigators has been carried out. The requirements for the future ship navigators regarding environmental consciousness in professional activities have been defined. The comparative analysis of the subjects that ensure the development of environmental consciousness under the Educational and professional program "Navigation and Management of Marine Vessels" of the first (bachelor's) level of higher education of the Higher Education Institution of Ukraine has been carried out. Therefore, the need for environmentalization of the education content is highlighted in the Standard of Higher Education, which is based on the main regulatory document of the maritime industry - the International Convention on the Training and Certification of Seafarers and Watchkeeping of 1978. At the same time, other IMO normative documents emphasize the need for environmentally conscious professional activity. The study of the Educational and professional program of various educational institutions made it possible to single out the main features of ecological training: the ecological direction is closely related to the legal one; strict compliance with the requirements of the international regulatory and legal framework when compiling educational programs; lack of uniformity in the number of disciplines aimed at the formation of environmental awareness.
