Abstract: Urban Air Mobility (UAM) represents a new paradigm of urban transportation based on the integration of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and highly automated aerial systems into the existing transport infrastructure. The relevance of this study is driven by the rapid development of digital technologies, artificial intelligence, and electric aviation, which create the foundation for the implementation of UAM in modern cities. The aim of the research is to determine the key features and conditions for integrating UAVs into the UAM concept. It is established that UAVs can perform logistics, monitoring, and emergency functions, becoming an essential element of urban transport systems. Particular attention is paid to the development of U-space/UTM systems, infrastructure (vertiports), and safety management mechanisms. The integration of UAVs requires coordinated regulatory, technological, and organizational solutions. The results indicate that UAV-based UAM systems can significantly improve transport efficiency, reduce congestion, and enhance the sustainability of urban mobility.
